wonderful painterly quality and tones reminiscent of medieval still lifes. the face appearing in the smoke is beautifully done!

Very Nice! Is that charcoal burning? Looks like a piece of meat. Also, what is that hanging in the middle of fire? Face looks spooky. Well done!

Wonderful still life. The flame takes it to another level. A great idea perfectly executed. Can't think of a thing to improve it.

Thanks everyone for your comments!!It was really difficult to include real flame into this picture. Actually, its not a charcoal simply because it is burning slowly and in my case I needed something that burns quick enough to shaw the full flame as an exposure time was 20 sec during which I am painting with light brush. It's bandage soaked in spirit.I did nearly 30 attempts until got needed result.

Once again, I do appreciate the feedback

Interesting experience Sergei, and good result with the flame. I still think that the composition is a bit too crowded with ellements, which in themselves are very nice, so maybe do it again with less ellements so the main subject will have all the attention.

Happy Holidays and new year Sergei, to you and your family, Pnina

I really love this moodful composition, Sergei. I seem to be in the workplace of an alchemist or magician with all these different wonderful coloured and shaped attributes. The light is great and though it's pretty crowded everything is in balance here; there is not any distraction. I wish I was able to make such wonderful still lifes as you do. It's a miraculous job you did! Many greetings, Ada:)

PS Thank you very much for commenting my picture. I feel verry flattered!
