Guest Guest Posted December 20, 2005 What a beautiful shot of Amanitas. The quality of light is very appealing, and brings out the delicate texture of the "spots" quite nicely. Nice balanced composition too. My only critique, although impossible to change unless you were still there, is the small patch of blue in the upper left. Very small complaint I know, and still a very wonderful photo. 6/6 Link to comment
iren 1 Posted December 21, 2005 Thank you Bond~ for the lesson on mushrooms too! That patch of blue happens to be the ocean, so in reality, it's not all that small! Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year! Kind regards, Iren Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 29, 2005 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too Iren! And remember not to eat these Amanitas, or you may actually see the flying reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh!! Link to comment
iren 1 Posted December 29, 2005 Thanks for the advice! I wonder what flying reindeer really look like?! :o) Iren Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 29, 2005 I've always found it interesting/suspicious that these mushrooms are a favorite food of reindeer, specifically they're after the muscimol "toxin" that's in them which is psychoactive. I've always wondered if that's what makes them fly..in our eyes anyways..LOL Link to comment
iren 1 Posted December 29, 2005 Are you suggesting that the reindeer~ including the beloved Rudolph~ is psycho???!!! Well, I guess whatever it takes to make it to every single rooftop around the world in mere hours!!! HOHOHO and Christmas cheer, Iren :o) Link to comment
