Beautiful photo Sondra. I thought it was snow in the thumbnail ,but the beauty of IR shows in the full print. This photo has a nice sense of scale as well, and the contrast between nature and man made object.A excellent photo , thanks for sharing it.

Oh yes,Sondra, Now I knew we were in for a visual treat. It was just a matter of what and how you chose to photograph....You are most gracious in sharing your vision with the rest of us.....Jim

The bridge peeking through the trees combined with the wonderful effects of the IR makes for a visual treat. The thing I like the best about your IR work (besides the well composed compositions) is the tonal range you present, from lovely soft highligths to rich dark shadow areas. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Hi Sondra,

When I saw the thumbprint, my first thoughts were "brrrr." You found just the right place to take such a lovely photo.

I'll second everything already said. Its a unique depiction of the Golden Gate Bridge. Its also sharp, clear, and extremely well composed. Kudos on a job well done.

As to location, I have made a bet with myself that you took this from somewhere on the Presidio grounds. Right off the top of my head I can't think of anywhere else it could have been actually.

Very original idea. Colors enphasize the strange atmosphere of this point of view.

Congratulations.
