atdeleted 0 Posted December 15, 2005 Normally, I dont rate architecture photos at all, but it was a good choise to make it B/W and the perspective is very nice. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted December 15, 2005 Henri, I like this very much because I'm partial to b&w architecture and because it reminds me of my native Netherlands. The corner vantage point works well giving a good nearby and distant view, but I'm wondering why you cropped it. Although the square format works well I'm curious to know what is down the left street and feel a bit disappointed that I can't see it. Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted December 19, 2005 I'm pretty sure I have walked down here too but in my case it was freezing cold. I like the square crop which seems to go with the solid and square nature of the houses. Photography in the rain is often a good opportunity! Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted December 30, 2005 Thank you for your comments and ratings. Hanna, The reason why I croped it is that there was a car in the foreground just on the left. In the same time, it was my idea when I took the photo because what interessed me was the white houses (the "Maisons-dieu" as they call them), not the others. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 30, 2005 I like this one a lot. It has a sense of the old-time feel; especially, the darker sky. Link to comment
