brandon_chase 0 Posted December 14, 2005 The sharp foreground makes for good contrast with the blurry man. The critical stares coming from the vanity behind the glass pushes the man ever faster. The dark tint of the windows opposed to the light tint of the concrete is a balanced polarity. I like it. Link to comment

aivarmikko 0 Posted December 14, 2005 Interesting street shot technically. Shows at the same time that life is not the same for everybody. Link to comment

dexdee 0 Posted December 15, 2005 I found this picture interesting not just because of the picture itself, but the "moral" message. How the fashion nowdays is important. That's why the "blurry man" is blured. He is "nothing" to modern world nowdays. But that is just my story :) Very nice photo to talk about it. DDD Link to comment
delp 0 Posted December 15, 2005 Street life is where opposite worlds find each other ... This reminds us that not everybody is fortunate ... you have a great success in achieving this here. Link to comment
mveach 0 Posted December 15, 2005 This is a perfect example of when to brake the rules. The man leaving frame instead of entering. I see him trying to escape stairs, pity and perhaps, his own thoughts. Link to comment
johncrosley 0 Posted December 16, 2005 These D & G mannequins stare out of their high fashion window, but they really see nothing, being empty and 'of themselves' completely self-contained, in focus, so the last thread and color of their outfits shows as well as their aloof expressions. The lighting probably required a slower shutter speed or you were stopped down when this man went by on his wheelchair, but his blurriness is a happy circumstance, for in his blur is the reality of modern life -- a paraplegic whizzing by these empty (and possibly empty-headed) models, as he deals with life's realities. (I don't know how to 'hot link' but in my single folder (mostly color) folder, you might want to search for 'Wheelchair Dreams' to see another treatment of a similar subject with wheelchairs - one I'm proud of. (Thanks for the referral.) I like it a lot. (I prefer pure b & w though without sepia, but that's idiosyncratic to me, however.) John (Crosley) Link to comment

ada-ipenburg 0 Posted December 21, 2005 I can only echo what Pnina says, Alex. Two worlds apart. With this great picture you give a sketch of the absurd reality we do live in. Very well seen and captured! Warm Greetings, Ada:) Link to comment
