billfoster 0 Posted December 11, 2005 So, I'm still working on documenting all the different little things I see here in rural TN. I thought all the religous signs were fascinating and different at first. Then, I remembered all the shrines to Mary in the streets of Naples and the doorside shrines in Hong Kong ... is this just another manifistation of a universal tendency? Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted December 12, 2005 Wow .... look at all those 3's. Do you think people are critiquing the image or the message? And, if it is the message, do they understand what the message is? It'd be quite a trick since I haven't worked it all out myself yet... Link to comment
will king 0 Posted December 12, 2005 Bill, I'm not sure of you're a man of faith or not. BTW, I am. You'll notice that the name of Jesus or Christ, has power. People respond to it. whether it be positive or negative. I would look more at the amount of people that responded (10), which is probably more than avergae, than the rates themelves. Peace, Will Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 16, 2006 Powerful shot that fits very nicely with the rest of the series. I think the low ratings just highlight the limited perspective of many of the raters here on P.N who are unable to respond to unique images outside of their postage stamp size tolerance for pictures that challenge their established and conventional view of photography Link to comment
nickmeertens 0 Posted May 17, 2006 I rather like it as well Bill, the B&W/color combo idea often feels overdone (I dared just the one in my portfolio), but in this case works well. I feel that lately the ratings are a bit lower then they used to be, but it might as well be the subject some people find difficult to judge that gives the threes. Thank you for sharing Bill!
