jmoody 0 Posted December 10, 2005 This is an incredible series! The lack of coloring, and the silhouetting make it so obvious for what it is (though not "real"), while leaving out anything tooo detailed so as to pinpoint it to a certain time frame, country, etc... could be any conflict from almost any era. This one has the extra bonus as well of having the mud to the left a bit blurred adding that documentary war photographer moment-of-chaos feel to it. GREAT work!! Link to comment
rob wray 0 Posted December 11, 2005 This was the effect that I was trying to achieve. Without shouting out crisp clear colour photography. So the moody, motion and dramatic effect was the idea to try and get people to think about the images rather than; it's out of focus, there is no colour and the list goes on. I'm very pleased that you appreciate this. I find that generally people tend to go for flowers and the norm, but I would like to be a little different but still appreciate all aspects of image taking :) (Long winded I know) Link to comment
John Peri 1,027 Posted December 20, 2005 I agree that this is a truly original and well executed series. You'd make a very good war photographer, though we would be even better off with no wars at all of course! Link to comment
