salvatore.mele 1 Posted December 6, 2005 I seldom do street/candid/children pictures... so your feedback on this would be much welcome! Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted December 7, 2005 By blurring his leg, you have created very good effect. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted December 7, 2005 I like this. I like the fact that you used more of a wide angle than usually seen. The leg almost on the sting ray is great! The blues are wonderful. Good job, a great capture. Link to comment
pjduncan 0 Posted December 7, 2005 Great shot! I too like the wider angle. Do you know what iso and exposure settings you used? Handheld I assume? Link to comment
owp 0 Posted December 7, 2005 Great shot. The hands on the glass and the boy leaning into the aquarium leads the viewer into the scene very well. Well done! Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted December 7, 2005 Beautiful captured Salvatore, the child's magic in front of nature spectacle. It looks like he is inside and a part of that world. Pnina Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted December 8, 2005 Beautiful image, and what like me the most is that because of the view point it seems that the boy is under the see among the fishes. Bravo! Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted December 8, 2005 I wish to thank you all for your support and appreciation of this image. IActually, it had already appeared on photo.net in form of a tryptich but it had not fared that well. I guess Pnina remembers it, as she had noticed that. As for the technical infos:Focal lenght 20mm with 1.5x digital sensor cropAperture f/2.8Shutter time 1/20 secIso 400Handheld (but I was comfortably and discretely sitting) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 8, 2005 Salvator, I remembered it, and I have even asked you how it was done, As a metter of fact I wondered why did you re uploaded it again, but I liked it than and now... Link to comment
delp 0 Posted December 8, 2005 Here I am to make a useless comment, once again, as I just love your images the way they are !Let me just "wow" for a minute, and learn to breath again afterwards. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted December 8, 2005 Pnina, I've tried to upload it again since I was convinced this -of the many frames I shot that day and did not erase yet- had some value in itself, and was dynamic enough to make it also outside the story-telling experiment. Looks I was right. Lionel, you're trying hard to make me blush, aren't you? Too bad that's pretty difficult ;-) Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted December 9, 2005 Very nice Sal. Thought it was a diver on the thumbnail image. Original. Link to comment
delp 0 Posted December 9, 2005 Lol, pretty hard challenge, especially because I will never see the result ... ;-) Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted December 9, 2005 Alec, you just suggested me a good idea, to try and shoot this kind of scenes (or crop what I have) such that you have the illusion of people standing IN the pool, aka this being an underwater shot... Thanks! Lionel, who knows... Link to comment
treeffe 0 Posted December 9, 2005 I'm amazed by this picture: The boy's silouette moving towards fishes is great. You've been lucky (or very patient) to get the boy lonely in that normally overcrowded place. Even if your mountains shots are really my preferite I love this subject too. Best regards -Fabio- Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted December 9, 2005 Fabio, it was a torrid day in Lisboa, and I had an afternoon to kill. So I was glad to enjoy the coolest place in town and had all the time I wanted to shot various people in front of the central tank of the Oceanarium... Link to comment
yasumasa_yanagisawa 0 Posted January 15, 2006 Beautiful moment and the color also. It's really a color of the water. Congrat! Salvatore. Now, you have stepped into the digital world. Digital is good, always good, sometimes too good. Link to comment
david_cassidy2 0 Posted May 17, 2006 A gorgeous image. The tones and composition are striking. Well done. Link to comment
