Shy Chubby :-)

This little boy that we encounter in the village was so cute & rounded in his thick clothings & he kept smiling at us throughout. His smile so a little sweet & shy. We gave him chocolates, evidence around his mouth. Pls see below for his full shot.

 

I actually didn't know which one to post, in the end I choose the close up. Which one do you all like better? Feedback most welcome.

Gosh Cherlyn, he really look like a white kid. Adorable.

Cherlyn,that is a treat,very good portrait and expression. Nice to see him in the surrounding.If You want us to compare,this is maybe the better composition, but see him in full, we see more of him and arround him, I like You show both.

For some reason my computer at work will not let me open the arrachment, I will re visit. This one i love, both composition and the expression on his face, also the fact that in as much as little he already shows such maturity, at least to me. Beautiful portrait.Always thankful for your interest, your comments on my work continue to be not only an inspiration but a great surce of learning.

Now at my computer I can see all of it and I am like you, it is a very difficult choice to make. I love both of them for different reasons. The portrait part, is of a little boy that has chocolate on his mouth but there is a maturity to him, as I mentioned before. On the other, he is like a little man with a Mikey Mouse shirt, but ready for the world, and yet still a little boy.

Yes, Pnina, i agree with you. That's why I chose the portrait but would also like to share his living surroundings in the 2nd photo.

I like the background in both as a glimpse into his life and the boy's pose is amusing too. Very well caught!

I like the portrait of this child,as posted above, for the same reason as stated by Pnina. One kiss for the boy, from India.

I like both, Cherlyn, but I prefer the second because while the expression, funny expression, is still visible, I can see the thick wrapping and more details in the background: gives me more of the setting, which I like.

I think both shots are beautiful. Both of them show the shy expression. And both of them are complementary.
