dmozzherin 0 Posted December 5, 2005 Domen, Martin, Chris and Pnina, thanks for yor comments! Chris, it was taken at Morton Refuge. I wanted to take shots of titmice and chickadees there because they would come really close and eat sunflower seeds from my hand. I found it was quite difficult to make a shot though, because the buggers were too hungry and as soon as I stop given them seeds they would sit on me instead of bushes and wait for reopening of the free breakfast. This particular titmouse really liked to perch on the lens of the camera with it's butt dangling in front of the glass. I am lucky that the lens is rather slippery and for a short while it would rest on a nearby branch where this shot was actually taken. It is only 30% of the frame because my lens cannot focus so close. Next time I think about taking extension rings :) Link to comment
cappoldt 0 Posted December 6, 2005 You finally made it to Morton! Remember when I told you about that place? I'm so glad - it's a riot, isn't it? Link to comment
dmozzherin 0 Posted December 6, 2005 Chris, I learned about Morton refuge from you and I thank you for that. This place is amazing! It sort of make me think how the Earth would be if people won't be carnivores and hunters. It gives a feeling of harmony with Nature. Animals are not afraid and trust us there as if we are with them. cappoldt 0 Posted December 6, 2005 Agreed, the place takes your perceptions and turns them upside down - a wonderful thing. I found it quite impossible not to smile broadly throughout most of the experience! Link to comment
