Generations

This is a statue of Chinese "coolies" who were partially responsible

for building Singapore. There are several more pieces by the same

artisit throughout Singapore. This was shot at the rear entrance of

the Singapore's famed Esplanade Theater. I was struck by the kids

all in uniform waiting to go on a tour behind a statue depiciting

life 100 years ago. But, I only had a moment to shoot and they were

gone so I cropped a bit off the statue in my haste, which has driven

me crazy every since.
