carsten_ranke 0 Posted December 3, 2005 Nice composition and crop. Would call it "warm reflections", though ;-) What about a cooling filter, to justify the title ? Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted December 3, 2005 Juliet,William,Ben and Claude for taking the time to leave comments. Glad you like it. Carsten, your filtering effect looks very good. I was looking at the snow and ice when I was searching for a little. Should have called it "Brrrr . . . Reflections". Winter is upon us. Thanks for your visit. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 4, 2005 Kim, it is warm not cold... but I like it warm ...and not cold( Carsten will forgive me I hope...) So just change the title...lol The riples and plants are very well composed.Good light as well. Pnina Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted December 4, 2005 Pnina, of course... You know I prefer fiddling around with PS to brooding over nice titles ;-) Link to comment
watermark_of_merni 14 Posted December 4, 2005 Beautiful reflections, a peaceful image to reflect and gaze into.I like the balance of your composition and seeing the circle of light between the reflections and shadows on the water. I like the warm tones, reflections and light. Very nice work Kim! This photograpph would be nice by my fireplace. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted December 5, 2005 To Pulok and Shuki for dropping by. To Pnina and Carlsten, I'll be more careful about choosing titles for my photographs in the future. I don't want to start any feuds. Pnina, the light was interesting, it was mid afternoon and it was a winter sun but with open water so I took advantage and clicked away. To Merni, for finding a place for it in your home. Wow! it's the nicest compliment. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 5, 2005 Thought I'd give this unfriendly site another go. An effective reflective shot, Kim. The predominance of sepia tones and good lighting, create a harmonious and tranquil image. The hint of snow reminds me of the seasonal changes. Understated, and with a good visual impact. Calming for the old nerves! Regards Colin Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 6, 2005 Kim, don't worry ...no feuds between Carsten and me...lol, only affection and appreciation. Pnina Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted December 6, 2005 Hi Colin. One of my friends though it was a sepia shot. This is the natural colour of the shot, the only thing I did to it was adjust the levels so darkened it a bit. Thank you for the kind words and glad to create a calming mood for you. Pnina :-) Link to comment

kim_tural 0 Posted December 9, 2005 Leanne, I was going for something a little difffent. That was my bushwacking day and I would have loved to have some rubber boots along ;-) Cherlyn, so glad you liked it. Maybe you found the title for my shot : Shivering Reflections! It really wasn't that cold that day but we are into winter temperatures now. Colin, it's always a pleasure to get a thumbs up from you. Had I had my rubber boots I would have tried for other angles too perhaps but I'm quite happy with this one. The sun was already low in the sky reminding us of even shorter days to come. Alexandra, thank you for stopping by. I'm glad that you find it stimulating, while others find it calming. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Great! CHiPs, If you think this is cold . . . well, just you wait. Thank you all for you wonderful comments. I really enjoyed your visits. Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted December 11, 2005 The cold comes though, but also the warmth of the observer...Winter is a real mixed bag...for one time of the year the world opens up, you see into the forest as the leaves drop off. There all the time were the fields and rock walls, left by early settlers who have migrated to more fertile lands. hollows and haunts not seen in the heat of the summer, nests and burrows, home to woodland creatures. In all, Winter has a lot going for it, but is still a chalange for us. You have met the mark, and surpassed it here, well done. Link to comment
