Here I've tried something new in ArtMasterPro - quite intentionally

I've left her left side empty and white, whilst attending to the

shade and shapes of her face and right side.

I gave you 1/1 because this isn't a photo, maybe a picture made in the photoshop or other sofware, from a photo, but this isn't a photo!

Antonio, I highly disagree with your comment and your rating. This is absolutely a photo. This started out with a camera, which makes it a photo. Who cares if it's digitally altered. 95% of the photos on this site are digitally altered in one way or another, including yours. I looked at your photos. They are very nice, but it's quite obvious that you played around with saturation in photoshop. Dude, this is 2005. Photography has evolved into the digital world. If you don't like digitally altered photos than chose not to view them and rate them. Rating someone's work a 1/1 based on post processing is disrepectful and closed minded.

Don, please continue doing what you're doing. I think it's great.

Two opinions that are chalk and cheese! Firstly William - many thanks for your comments and for coming to my defence, I greatly appreciate it.
Secondly, Antonio - you have completely and utterly missed the point; your 1:1 rating reflects this. Digital imaging empowers photographers and sets them free and surely the fact that you and I can post pictures on PN is testament to that freedom? And once freed, it's my belief that image-takers and makers are now duty bound to push the envelope as far as possible, if only to see what happens and what can be done with their images - indeed there are some fantastic examples of this on PN - and because it's digital, we've all got the original photos to go back if we feel insecure or unsure.
Most painters from 1430 onwards used lenses, optics, mirrors, camera obscura, camera lucida, photos etc etc to move the boundaries of Art - if they had not done so, we'd not have had the Renaissance period and all the wonderful stuff that followed over the last 450+ years. With digital, photographers now have similar opportunities and I for one will continue to use all available technologies and experiment with them to see how I can get different "takes" on a regular photograph and I would urge you to take your head out of the sand do the same.
BTW - Of the newer technologies, I have rejected Photoshop as a method of creating artwork as I don't think I'll live long enough. Don

Even more Kudos! The original pic is no biggie, but what is th eend result is great! I'm all in favour of whatever treatment to result into interesting art!

Another shameless plug for a commercial product. It's highly debateable if this constitutes good photography or just adept manipulation of software. Guess it's in final result and ratings.

There some eye catching images in the Pro Gallery, RU a principle in that company ? If you wanted folks to focus on the results lighten up plugging the software and website Emma all over your pages.
