Pistoia is a small, Tuscan town about twenty minutes from Florence.

The Duomo (cathederal) dates from the 12th century but is hard to

photograph because it is fronted by narrow strets on each side

instead of the usual grand piazza. Thus, geography led to this

composiiton ....

Hi Pnina,thank you very much for your compliments. I use a digital camera so everything is in color to begin with and then I convert it. However, I did visualize this as B&W before I took it (which is not usually the case).

This is really very nicely composed. A treat to view, and the B&W fits the subject perfectly. I like that every bit of the frame is full of architecture.
