Slow speed with tripod on a warm and silent night.

The water looks mysterious. I love the mood of this photo and I think the branches on the lower left add a great deal to the composition.

how do you like your d2x? in this reduced format the power of that camera can hardly be judged

Yes I was also wondering how you like the D2X which I was considering as my main body, although I will now wait for the D200 before buying. I was concerned about using the D2X with the 18-70 DX, which on paper seems a mismatch in terms of price at least.

Dieter, Kit Yoong, the D2X is great for portraits - skin tones, and bird close-ups as the higher resolution will ensure crisp clarity. The Nikkor 18-70mm DX ED is highly rated and produces very crisp quality albeit the reasonable price. I judge the quality of a lens more from personal experience and test reports.
