There is a light at the end of death. One has to believe that. Great image and a great symbolism, as far as I am concerned, not to speak of the exquisite composition and colors.

Well done.

I too love the colours in this. The subject matter might seem disrespectful to some.

I personally would have made the diagonal more pronounced but then if we all took photos the same way, this would be a boring site.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments, much appreciated. I'm glad this image can trigger feelings and points of view regardless of each individual's background. I try myself to keep open to everything no matter what or where comes from.

Great lighting and colors with no feeling of disrespectfulness felt. I visit graveyards where ever I see them.

For my taste the shading around the edges should not have a straight edge where it ends, but should look more like fog. Achieving this effect would take much work but would make the photograph perfect.

not much more I can add to this that hasn't already been said. WOnderful fall colors (good Thematic choice too as well since "fall" and "death" work well together poetically). Great angle and depth of field. The light in the corner works great (especially again in the "meaning" of the shot). Would've been 10's if you could've got some fog or mist involved, but can't always have everything I suppose. :-) Excellent work again Alexandre

Chillness of death surrounded by the warmth of the autumncolours and at the end the promising light. So much symbolism you brought together in this wonderful composition dear Alex. Very touching! Warm Regards, Ada~

Shawn, I too like to visit graveyards; they are such peaceful and meaningful places, despite of not being attached to any formal religion myself. You're right about the edges; I'll try to fix it. Always a pleasure to have your comments!

Jeff, thanks for passing by. Perhaps some foggy days are still about to come:)

Ada, I'm very glad you liked it and for your visit!

I keep looking at this image and thinking that there is something profound I should say only the words don't come to my mind. It has a haunting peacefulness about it that I find appealing, it seems eternal somehow, and the saturated colors compliment the composition. Well seen and expertly exposed.

Wonderful. Great colors. Me parece muy bien compuesta, con ese punto de fuga, y muy acertadas esas tonalidades frí¡³.

un saludo 6/7

Excellent, as usual. Very atmospheric, although I can feel it a bit "over-worked" -just an opinion, ok?-. Colors are properly saturated, but in this kind of shot I am not sure whether they are appropiate or not (the crosses look sort of "feisty"). Maybe the application of your excellent b/w contrasted filters would make the shot more poignant, stronger. They would make a somber, outstanding picture, IMHO. Anyway, every new shot of yours is a delight, no doubt.

Sigfrid, for the b&ws I usually just play around with the PS channel mixer. I'll try for sure a b&w version of this. Thanks a lot for the suggestions and for your always nice and valuable comment.

Guzin, I'm very glad you liked it!

I like the opposition between the graves and crosses which inspire sadness and the red flowers which inspire joy and life. Regards, Henri

I had seen this before and thought it was marvelous, but didn't write in. So, many compliments on the beauty and depth and color of this elegant composition of light, life and death.
