Excellent use of natural light. How do you find such wonderful models? Her expression is terrific. The banister (is that a banister?) adds a strong element to your composition. Well done Ken.

Love the light, love the model, love the clothes.

The light on her face is nice, as is the "hair light" that picks up her hat. The lower left element is hard to read, though.

 

With regard to rates. . . . . . It's hard to tell if viewers are considering the quality of light, pose, or expression, and maybe simply want the model to be a "knock out."

You raise a good point. BTW the object at lower left is a newel post

Ken, it is a very nice image, light is soft, and illuminates very nice her face and neck . I agree with Carl's point about the lower part, what do you say of this suggestion? as another possibility? Pnina

Nice light but confused composition. Cropping/framing makes the picture look incomplete, item in the bottom left distracts the eye too much.

...Apart from the object on her lower right that is somewhat distracting, it is very well done. I really like the use of loop lighting and the specular nature of the light to create hard shadows. Makes the portrait moody and dramatic. Sincerely, Kelvin.
