Lucky I had a camera with me when I came across this beautiful bird

on the way home from work.

The great details make it well visible, how the repetition of a simple "rule" creates such wonderful patterns in nature, like the one on the feathers of the bird. Also, due to the very good contrast to the background the owl almost glows. A very nice shot!
