Thoughts, comments, ratings? Not sure whether I "like" it or not,

and mostly would've liked to have filled the frame totally without

those black areas to the right. Not cropable without decapitating

the bird (there'll be enough of that soon with turkey-day being

tomorrow)but maybe someone can suggest something else? clone in some

more bird color maybe?

Hello Jeff, I like this novel image, however I cannot make my mind up wether or not the shadow enhances the shot, or detracts fromit?

6/6

Thanks Siddhun & Nicholas. The truth of this shot maybe even stranger than fiction... Took it at the very end of a long day at the zoo with my kids and some friends of ours. We were just exiting when I noticed these birds behind a fence & some tall grass. Since I had my oldest girl on my shoulders (and since she hasn't yet grasped the idea of holding on to me, but rather expects me to hold onto her), I had to shoot this one-handed while on tip-toes to avoid any of the grass or fence in the foreground. I'm stunned the shot even came out! Thanks again to all p.s., I'd also like to dedicate this to Miguel Angel de Arriba Cuadrado. Very inspired by his posts (though unfortunately not as good yet!)

Great colours here. At first sight those dark stripes would seem to prejudice the composition, but I think they may be the key to the depth, by enhancing the natural curvature of the bird. The only space for improvement would be to get rid of that black line on the background on the right edge. Well done! Alex
