omerk 0 Posted November 20, 2005 This is not an insect or bird, so I put under Nature, please forgive me if this is the wrong category. This snake was having a sunbath on a concrete slab and I didn't know what kind of snake; whether it is poisonous or not... So I came as close as possible while adjusting the manual focus with one eye, my other eye was making sure it didn't move towards me :) Your comments welcome, also if you know what kind of snake is this please let me know. tombartlett 0 Posted November 20, 2005 Its a wonderful shot, but I think its a slow-worm, a type of legless lizard, not a snake. Keep up the good work though. Link to comment

omerk 0 Posted November 21, 2005 Hi, I got some info about this reptile from an academic person in herpetolgy. It turned out to be a leggless lizard hehehe. It is called Ophisaurus ventralis (Eastern glass lizard). It looks and moves like a snake but it ain't a snake. Sorry for the confusion. But recently I got confronted with a BlackRacer (non-venomous) and got chased by a Water Moccassin (aka Cottonmouth), very venomous, I better be safe than sorry. Link to comment

katzpjs 50 Posted February 4, 2006 He's pretty, next time give him a little finger-rub under the chin for me. I'm both you and he will enjoy the experience. Link to comment
