I like this abstract, suggests the -natural- up->down movement of the leaves, and matches with the subject.

 

The relative amount of the different colour/element is pleasent, even though the yellow has a tendency to be too close to 50% of the frame... a bit less might help to re-balance the concept of trees having trunks. Even more so since I like the slight twist of the trunk which survives the impressionistic view and actually gets enhanced by it.

Salvatore, thanks for the comments. You've given me an idea for a re-shoot. Hopefully the weather holds and the leaves stay on the trees for a few more days!
