pnital 36 Posted November 19, 2005 As different from a fast sutter speed of 1/800 http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3865202 I have tried a slower one of 1/20... Please comment your thoughts, Thanks Pnina Link to comment

watermark_of_merni 14 Posted November 19, 2005 Great work ! Thank you for the explanations and your examples. Such a beautiful subject to capture and experiment with shutter speeds. I'll come back to look at all your examples again. From the top of my head my favorite is your first, I like the angle of where the light is and that shutter speed. The light as it mixes with the colors in the wheel, the water drops and at this shutter speed, in turn you've create a painting within a splash. Link to comment
mrhaydon 0 Posted November 19, 2005 This is very nice and the colours are very pleasant to the eye. It is original and has great sweeping lines. Well done. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted November 19, 2005 The whirling water and spray reminds me of some Turner paintings when he was trying to paint a storm at aea. Great energy! Link to comment
bens 0 Posted November 20, 2005 I agree, this is very enjoyable, struck me as a detail from a painting when I first looked. Although slowing the shutter obviously creates the dominant effect, your choice of a wheel (?) with such rustic colors and the soft light add a lot as well. yes, i could see a series like this, it works well.
