Karl Schuler 48 Posted August 10, 2006 Dear Udayan,I would like to expreess my sincere thanks for giving me the opportunity to expose my photos to a broader public. I am proud together with the whole IUCN family for winning the ICIMOD Himalayan Price of the Digital Photo Contest "Deserts and Desertification in High Altitude Areas". After announcement of the award I got a tremendous feedback from all over the world. Also the visits and feedback on my photographic homepage went visibly up.Both, the certificate and the Thangka painting arrived well here. I like the Thanka "Buddhas Life" very much. With its warm colours and intrinsic details it complements perfectly my other two Thangkas (Mandala and Wheel of Life) which I have already. I hope to be able to visit Nepal soon again. I still miss Nepal and its people very much. If I am there I will definitively visit ICIMOD.Best regardsKarl Schuler Link to comment
mirkal 1 Posted March 16, 2010 Another example of fresh-mind approach to extreme wide angle. Common subject converted that way to very attractive scene, colorful vegetation is the key element well placed in the middle - despite all rules it fits to its place perfectly. I love this image Karl, this is fine work, THX for sharing it. Link to comment
