Jonathan, The original version of this photo is in colour and I used a polarizer filter. But in certain cases (according to the angle with the sun), the polarizer has little effect. This is the case here. Yet the black & white version is a mixing of the three layers red, green and blue with photoshop. I use one or another layer depending on its tones on the different areas of the photo. For exemple, here, the sky is from the red layer, parts of the buildings from the blue layer, etc. Regards, Henri

The detail of the left tower is excellent.

The small group of people in the middle are good adding a human touch and scale.

Henri , Great photo of the church . When I was in Bruges 4 yrs ago, the church steeple was covered with tarps as they were cleaning the exterior. I can see now in your wonderful photo what I missed.

Great capture and perfect digital darkroom processing!! My 2c: for a picture of 500x700 (400x600 inside the frame) with so much fine details, 50k in size is a little small:)
