salvatore.mele 1 Posted November 14, 2005 I like sailing abstracts, you'll find a few in this folder, and I re-interpreted http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3751535>a wider composition concentrating on the shadow and light on this spinnaker. Do you like it? What would you change? Your comments (and ratings, should you happen to believe in them) are welcome. Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted November 14, 2005 I mentioned on the portrait version that I found the shadow over the purple to be distracting, but with the crop, it seems to make a lot more sense. Looks a little like a sail... Yep, I like the crop. It pulls the emphasis towards the shadows(love the curves on the right... the shape of waves or the bellowing action of the sails), but on balance I prefer the portrait version for the different perspective of the sails. alecee 0 Posted November 17, 2005 All things considered, this is a very good abstract. Perhaps a new DSLR might do better on the noise issue in the sky? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 24, 2005 Salvatore, the lines in this are great! While I'm a little bothered by the shadow over the purple part, the purple needs to stay. It's an unexpected element that ads another visual dimension to this image. Link to comment
