Urban place with the (formerly) "blue" building

This square is dominated by the formerly called "Blue" house, one of

the masterpieces of Greek interwar architecture. It was told to have

displayed a perfect synthesis of work together between an architect

and a painting artist, with the vertical pillars painted in blue and

reminding the Byzantine tradition (the latter however, much more

present in Thessaloniki than in Athens).

Today however, along with a generally not so good maintenance state, I

saw nothing blue on the building. I was rather disappointed, since I

took a colour film on purpose.
