maria 7 Posted November 21, 2005 This square is dominated by the formerly called "Blue" house, one of the masterpieces of Greek interwar architecture. It was told to have displayed a perfect synthesis of work together between an architect and a painting artist, with the vertical pillars painted in blue and reminding the Byzantine tradition (the latter however, much more present in Thessaloniki than in Athens). Today however, along with a generally not so good maintenance state, I saw nothing blue on the building. I was rather disappointed, since I took a colour film on purpose. thanks for looking Maria Link to comment
