painting with layers

I started with the old lime kiln then I added this then that then

somethingelse then cloned this then that then the other (to cut a

long story short It has been teeming with rain so had to do

something .(I will get back to more serious stuff a s a p

Colour is good, however what is the subject of the photo? Is it the old stone structure or the flock of birds. Also, I find the foreground distracting. Should work more on framing.

I love the colors. The warm sky and calm green. I am wondering how did you do this? Is it all photoshop or you using some other software.

It seems as you work on each piece of the photo separate. I just can't understand how you put everything in balance togather. Do you like to share secrets? ;)
