brian_forbes 0 Posted November 9, 2005 It would have been better if you had centered if better and made it more symetrical. Link to comment
gdw 0 Posted November 9, 2005 Gary, you have an obvious interest in automobiles; you have a good eye-you just need a little polish and attention to detail. Images should be tack sharp, colors should really pop, and design must be clean. Things to work on: most important get down. Most of your images appear to be shot from standing height or at least looking down giving you perspective distortion both vertically and horizontally-you have got to do something that the average Joe Blow is not going to do as he walks through the show snapping photos. You need to be aware of vertical and horizontal lines-they need to be straight and parallel with the margins of the image-or tilted sufficiently to confirm that the tilt was intended. Some shots just need to be dead head on not tilted; be aware of the edges of your images-get rid of anything that doesn?t contribute to the design. Pray for an overcast day or at least a cloudless blue sky to eliminate distracting reflections. Be aware of what actually belongs in the photograph then get in close and eliminate extraneous elements. Okay, I will admit it; these are all things that I have faulted in my own photographs taken at car shows. However, with a little tweaking, many of your images are very fixable. Link to comment
