zulfiqar 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Beatiful bright colors...and attractive contrast...the subject is a bit blur than the background.. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 7, 2005 Actually, they are Eclectus Parrots. The male (green) looks like a Grand Eclectus, not sure which sub species the hen is, also a Grand? They are beautiful birds, I had a pair of Grands, they were kinda strange personality wise, as far as parrots go. Nice photo, shot in the wild or a zoo? Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Zul, Michael thanks for your correction on the species, yes the focus was unfortunately spot on the tree. Luckily the DOF is not very shallow. It's taken at the Singapore Bird Park and they roam free. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted November 7, 2005 It's a pity the blue on the red parrot is a tiny bit blurred, but I like this couple, the colors, and the great tree they are on. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted November 7, 2005 The two birds are a bit lost in the large green background behind them: this is too close to the colours of the right parrot, and attracts the eye. Should you reframe this, you put the birds much more into attention and, funnily, they seem to be looking at something to the right, with the red commenting about it... Remember that spot in Singapore: I got my only ever-decent bird pictures there...shall fish them back a day. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Hmmm...that's a great idea Salvatore. Looks good and I like the title. Funny, now the zoo animals are gawking at the tourists for a change. LOL! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 7, 2005 Well, I agree with Salvator about the BG, But I think it is a bit too tightly cropped... So here is my version.. very nice colors, and I like the tree behind them. Pnina Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Thanks Pnina for your effort as well. Never knew the parrots create so much interest. Talking parrots? Doing it already. Heheheh! Link to comment
