Parthasarathi 0 Posted November 6, 2005 An old lady carrying her fuel wood on a hilly road in Himalayas. But look at her face; is it not a billion dollar smile? I find lots of floodlights switched on together. Link to comment
shamik 0 Posted November 6, 2005 Utterly beautiful. These mountain people in India can never stop smiling can they? Great work. But i think the frame distracts. Link to comment
peter bernik 0 Posted November 6, 2005 Great expression, she is most interesting - her face, jewellery... I'd crop a bit on the top and it would look better with shallower dof. You can't expect better sharpness from this lens (I know that for myself, because i own it), I suggest you try a prime lens, which would give you superb results (I use Canon EF 50 1.8 II, which is 3 times cheaper than this one, and 10 times better). Great catch! P.S. Don't be offended, but the frame is awful;). Link to comment
steve_aronoff 0 Posted November 6, 2005 A terrific portrait! Well composed with excellent quality. She does have a great smile. I don't absolutely hate the frame because the color is so neutral and picks up on some of the colors in the photo, but I think a different, less complex frame might work better. Nice work, indeed! lightwriting by swapan 0 Posted November 7, 2005 .. just goes to prove that happiness is not always measured by the material wealth, as most of us believe! A great expression captured very nicely. Congratulations ! Link to comment
Parthasarathi 0 Posted November 7, 2005 ...for your valuable comments. When the frame is concern, actually I want to add the happiness in the frame also, so I used such a complex frame, normally I do not use complex frames. Anyway thank you all again. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted November 6, 2008 I agree with you totally. Her toothless smile is contagious & make people smile together with her. Link to comment
