Andrea...you can hardly call it skin, so thick. More a hide.

Julio...gracias. You look for form, too.

Daily...the country of origin is unknown to me, but this guy is now making the rounds of fairs and maybe circus's.

Arthur...the details can say so much. Thank you.

Howard...thanks! I don't know why my eye goes where it does, but my camera lens follows!

Magdalena...thank you for your visit!

Thanks, David! I think the simplicity emphsises the textures. I am an interior designer, and I know in a monochromatic color scheme, texture plays a very important role.

Sarita...good to see you even if it's only on the PN pages...(smile)

I'm flattered you'd remembered my "Well Used" image and yes they are both very similar...lot's of graphic detail and textures. Yours has wonderful detail and the limited color palette looks almost like a toned B&W. And as always you do such a good job with the framing. Knowing what the subject here is I can almost feel his tiredness in patiently packing around all those people, I'm glad I can't see the whole critter.

Your concentration on that small area distills the idea of the strength of the beast and the weight it is carrying. Great!

Thanks, Kim....good to see you.

Susan...you are right about "the patient critter"...I took a shot of his eye, too, but the sadness there (real or not) is too much for me.

Colin...I'm glad you perceived my intent.

Donna...hello, and thanks!

Marvellous shot, I too like the monochromatic look of this Linda, excellent detail. I can just imagine the eye.:(((

Yes, Amelie...there was an almost human quality to it.

Paula...the thickness and texture of that hide is amazing. Thanks!

And of course, the added extra detail of focusing in on the belt & buckle... the only way to safely "pack" a "derm" :-)

Wow, now that is texcture at it's best. The two close crops of animals you have posted recently are excellent, I would have shot the entire beast and missed this wonderful composition. Great stuff.

Ben...just have to be careful sometimes...I can ignore the forest for the trees. But thanks.
