These two ducks were in a fight. I had a low shutterspeed (time)

thats why it gave this effect. In this case i liked it.

Would like to hear what you think. Thanks.

Hello Ellen, I like this action shot. I must have seen this happen hundreds of times on the Thames and never get tired of it.

Regards. Peter

I like it! Clearly shows how intense these fights between males can become some times. Were they in a fight over a female? Seems rather late in the year for this and didn't think they were agressive like this outside of the mating season (but then again I could be wrong)...

I like this one too, Ellen ... like so many of your photos! You have a good eye for the original and beautiful. You capture "God's creation" very well. 6/6

And thanks for your comment in return on my Seagull B&W photo. I wanted to bring your attention to the colour version I put up for critique a few days ago. I personally like it a little better: Spreading Wings. You asked how I got this shot. I was up about 5m leaning over a wall, looking at some gulls taking a break from flying during heavy winds on the log below the bird. This gull was just taking off. And this was the storm the birds where flying in: Breakwater Storm. I apologize for the flagrant advertising, this is about your picture and it totally works for me. Nice job!

I've tried this action before, but never with this success. Well done! And its great that they were mallards, so you've got the nice touch of iridescent green.

I like this photo a lot. You can still tell that they are ducks. I wonder what you think of my photo of Fred and Jett running toward me in the park. My FStop was only 5.6 and the shutter speed was a little slow, too. I think it is called "Fred and Jett approach."
