quite simple and lovely...you can almost hear the silence.

My attempt at a classic shot. Unforunately, the wind was gusting at

70 mph and my tripod just wasn't sturdy enough to keep it sharp but

I still like it.

Classic indeed but very nice. I love the range of colors. Reminds me of 'A walk in the woods' by Bill Bryson. I have never been there but this is the kind of scenery I had imagined when I read that novel.

Thanks all! For Axel: Yes indeed, Bill Bryson does discuss the Smoky's but take him with a grain of salt! He's funny and makes his living complaing so what he says about Gatlinburg being awful is true but about the park, he's pretty far off. Two roads and about three areas (Cade's Cove, Clingman's Dome and Chimney Top) are crowded. The rest of it is pristine, beautiful and empty. And, you can go in three or four ways and skip Gatlinburg!

Indeed, the blur is really pity because it is a very nice composition. When there is a strong wind, I press very hard on the tripod when I take the shot in order that it cannot move. Regards, Henri.
