billfoster 0 Posted November 17, 2005 I took this as part of my Red State series, where I'm trying to document some of the religous and political things I see in rural TN. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in the b&w with a splach of color format of that series, but I still like it. What do you think? Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted November 17, 2005 In the context you are shooting, Pete, it's worthy of attention. It's composed and exposed well.....Like to see more of this series....Jim Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 21, 2006 Growing up in the South, this is a familiar sight to me. When I was a kid and we would take trips, you would see this exact same sign along the highways...and frankly they'd scare hell out of me, cause the signs made little-kid-me think God might be waiting just over the top of the hill or around the next mountain hairpin turn...and I wasn't all that anxious to meet Him so early in life. I like the light in this image. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted February 22, 2006 Thank you for noticing this one, Jim. It's a personal favorite. I took it the first time I saw it in bad light and then went back at sunset one day to get it in better light. I saw this same type of cross up in the hills above oak ridge but didn't get too good a shot. BTW ... see, everything isn't better in B&W. Link to comment
