davidmccracken 2 Posted October 31, 2005 It's good to have an understanding model. Feedback appreciated. Link to comment
emotive 0 Posted October 31, 2005 See, now I knew this one was a McCracken immediately. The picture of the Jag is an excellent image, but it doesn't have your signature style. This one does. Well done. Cheers, George Link to comment
joe baker pine bush ny 0 Posted October 31, 2005 interesting, a bit negitive for me4/4David there,s no dought your a very good photographer, with a very interesting porfolio,i just don,t find anything about abuse to women original or artistic. Link to comment
eimages 0 Posted October 31, 2005 I think this is one of your best. Dramatic, erotic, even a litte Holloweenish. The edge on the knife is positioned to make me feel uncomfortable, but that's the power of a good photograph. Well done, Alex Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted October 31, 2005 You are a cad an utter cad. Well done by the way. -Cheers Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 31, 2005 This is one of my favorites! I like everything about this - I don't even mind the knife :) Well done! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 31, 2005 Ouch! was my first reaction! Another creative, witty, and well crafted image David. And yes....you have a very understanding model. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 31, 2005 George, I think I get your message. You think I am sick.... just joking but just for the record..... I am. Thanks for the time. It is very much appreciated. Joe, So because it is negative it is NOT original. Strange! Thanks for taking the time though! Zach, Thanks! I do try. Alex, I appreciate you don't rate photos too often. You much prefer to leave comments. Your comments are always appreciated but the fact that you have rated this too gives your comment special meaning. Personally, I don't think it is one of my best, but then if we all liked the same things, this would be a boring site. Thanks a lot! Owen, A cad... me... OK but please don't tell anyone. Kathy, If you don't mind the knife... we need to talk AND meet! Thanks a lot. Laurie, I have another photo taken, but not of sufficient quality to upload, that will make you go 'OUCH' even more. When I retake it I will post it for you. Thanks a lot. Thanks everyone. Link to comment
berta lozano ofelan 0 Posted October 31, 2005 The knife makes me a bit nervous....I love the picture, it is very original. Best rating for the cooperative model. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted November 1, 2005 Berta, The model is always the talent. I just take the pictures. Thanks. Dariusz, You said it. Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted November 1, 2005 You are cheating David, the round was already there, no excuse to overwrite it with X.... LOL Link to comment
beepy 0 Posted November 1, 2005 I've been looking at a lot of monographs, and I think you nailed originality (as in I've never seen this before:-). I like the framing, the "decisive moment", and the lighting. Her skin looks like sand dunes - has a landscape feel to it as a foundation for the story. Link to comment
francisco_m_ndez_fuentes 0 Posted November 1, 2005 God willing now nobody accuses you of sadistic or to promote the illegal games. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted November 3, 2005 Someone, I didn't notice. Honest! Beepy, I try to be original. I will keep trying but I better watch out not to step on anyones' toes. Francisco, Who knows what I will be accused of next.... breathing probably! Kenneth, Anyone can play... all you need is a willing model. Sriram, Thanks. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted November 3, 2005 Tell me Sandy (or is it Pauline?), What games do you play? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 5, 2005 Well, the winner isn't the girl, is it? But this would have been hard to do on a beer can. Maybe you could have carved it in the Jag? BTW David, I had a '69 E-type 4.2, and am still waiting for parts I paid for in advance that never came in. It looked great standing still, which it did a lot. Your photo brought back some painful memories, and not just the ones where my license was suspended for outrunning a state policeman. My mechanic said that "To appreciate a really fine automobile you had to own a Jaguar." Too late, I realized what he meant. I now realize why Brits like warm beer; because Lucas makes refrigerators too. I also understand why my Scottish ancestors fought the British...... Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted November 5, 2005 You use the word 'had.' I wonder what you will do with the parts when you get them. I appreciate the comment but do wonder why you talk so much about the E-Type on this image. It doesn't matter. I appreciate the time. Thanks! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted November 5, 2005 How do you come up with these ideas? This one is a little "dark" (in thought), but well executed. Realistically, I think the knife is too large to have inflicted these wounds. In my opinion, a scalpel knife with a razor blade edge would be more realistic for these type of wounds. Admittedly, the medical connotations of the scalpel would give the image a whole different meaning. But then again, you might be able to sell the image for an advertisement advocating the importance of mammograms. A game of chance. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted November 5, 2005 You do look at images don't you Jayme? The knife is maybe a little too big to have inflicted the injuries depicted or maybe I am just skillful with a knife. As for how I come up with the ideas.... maybe it is the workings of a twisted mind. Thanks again! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 7, 2005 I like Jaymes take- I think the nurse in her came out. I'm going to chime in on the size of the knife- too big as said. Also no visible cuts where the knife has already been as well as no blood on the knife. Yea, I'm way to literal sometimes. Personally, I think black paint for the lines and even the o's or white for the o's and still black for the grid would have set the red of the x's off better. So, while clever and witty as always I think it could have been much much more. Link to comment
