sondra kick 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Dexter's Grist Mill in Sandwich, Massachusetts, was used for grinding corn in 1654. The town was named after the Earl of Sandwich who invented the sandwich. All comments are welcome. Cheers, Sondra Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 25, 2005 A pleasing and effective composition, Sondra. The placement of the various elements of path, wooden mill and plants/foliage, is visually satisfying. Fine colours and perspective, also. An interesting description of the history, is a fine touch. Regards, Colin Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted October 25, 2005 I like the effect of the branches hanging down and the viewer looking through them to the mill. Very nice composition. Tricky exposure with a wide range. ...amd the Earl of Sandwich got his name from the town of Sandwich on the Kent (UK) coast. He invented the sandwich because he was obsessed with playing cards and did not want to stop for meals! Link to comment
