jmoody 0 Posted October 26, 2005 The other "reflection" shot I submitted from this building had more "wordly" objects in it, and I wasn't sure if I liked it for that reason (not abstract enough). This is probably one of the MOST abstract shots I've ever found in a reflection..& so I'm not sure if it's tooooo abstract. Anyone like this? Is it too weird? Any suggestions? Thanks Link to comment
paul rollin 0 Posted October 26, 2005 I Like it. But then, I'm a Sucker for Abstract. Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted October 26, 2005 Wow. Fast comment! Anyway, here's to all the "suckers" out there! :-) (let's hope there are more!) Link to comment
loldhoff 0 Posted November 3, 2005 I'm a sucker for abstraction too, and yep this is abstract! Still there's enough here so that one can somewhat see what's going on: Electrical lines, socket, cobblestones, something chrome and mirrors. Weird indeed, but cool with me! Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted November 4, 2005 yeah, this one's a tough one to explain (and I was there!). It was taken almost completely straight up at a mirrored ceiling (I think that socket thingy is a sprinkler but since it's outdoors, not sure if that makes sense). The weird part is that the ceiling was part of almost a kind of "cupula" (like the inside of a mirrored cube) so that the lines from the street behind me, the stones of the sidewalk, and the frame of the building all got reaally twisted. I'm just surprised that I didn't show up in there somewhere with all the reflections Link to comment
bengt1664878721 2 Posted December 14, 2005 Nice image. I really like it, too. So many interesting photographic possibilities reveal themselves if one just remembers to look up, or into the detail. Personally I think a bw-version would be even stronger, but then I'm a sucker for bw, as well. I have taken the liberty to attach a slightly altered version - I hope you don't mind. (If you do, I'll remove it.) Bengt:) Link to comment
