dilip_kumar_singha 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Beautiful and spectacular landscape (7/7). Sharpness, color, lighting and depth of view all are excellent. Congratulation! Probably taken on wide angle with small aperture. Link to comment

dimitris 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Great capture Dave. I would be prefer it a bit less saturated, there is much red, see the clouds for example. I tried to reduce master saturation a bit and I like it more this way. Your composition is excellent and original, as always. Best regards. Link to comment
dave_k1 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Thanks for you comments. I did add some tinting to the image which I preferred, especially in the printed version. Here is the a link to a version with no tone added. Minus Tone Link Thanks for the comments Dave Link to comment
dimitris 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Thanks for replying Dave, I think your photosig version has a more pleasing WB. It is perfect in my eyes. The tinted one is more aggressive, the other is more easy to look at. Thanks for sharing such beautiful images. Link to comment
labuenaluz 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Stunning fall scenary, once again you bring a great piece Dave!, love all ground composition here, spectacular natural render with excellent exposure, if I had to choose maybe the non tinted, anyways supreme landscape, very well done !! Link to comment
marcv 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Ah! Where will I go when I get money - Alaska or Iceland? You make Alaska look very enticing and inviting. Great shot! Cheers! Link to comment

www.alaskanphotographs.com 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Every aspect of this photo is awesome. The overall sharpness attained is impressive. From the grass to the mountains. Great colors too, nice work! Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted January 31, 2007 Hey Dave. This is perhaps my favorite landscape on all of Photo.Net. The detail of foreground contrasting the lost edges of the blurred clouds, the starlike similarity of the yellow tinged grasses, the curve of the shoreline leading the eye to the distant mountain peak, the rich hues and shiny quality of the mud flats, etc. I rather like the tinted version and I am aware that this is needed for printing, especially if a fine art matte rag paper is being used. You have lived and photographed a dream. Cheers to ya! Link to comment
maark 0 Posted March 14, 2007 Great scenery, but overdosed dimming of areas of picture, that makes it inconsistent (the sky, far background, water and foreground appear like having different colour temperature), the effect transition zones are quite wide as well).Compositionally well done. Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted March 14, 2007 Excellent composition - leading the eye into the scene - the grass is perfect. I prefer the natural toned version myself, and would like the clouds/sky a bit brighter so that the filter isn't so obvious. Link to comment
wayne_campbell 2 Posted March 14, 2007 It has that typical Canon EFS 10-22mm lens look. Link to comment
