A real Canadian autumn with wonderful coloured and nice shaped leaves. I like your very particular PS work Kim and your frayed frame. Your composition looks like a painting. Very delicate! Greetings, Ada:)

Nice to see you. I tried something a little different for the framing. The same effect I used on the image affected the outline so I chose to repeat it only on the frame part to accentuate it a little. I am enjoying the photos from you China trip. See you soon.

The effects you did work so well! The red stands out wonderfuly.I like that the veins in the leaves are still seen. The composition has a good diagonal flow.:-)

Thanks for pointing out the diagonal point of view. That was not apparent to me while shooting or processing the photo. I tried to keep as much of the details as possible while editing this image. I thought that the veins were an important part of the image and I sure didn't want to lose them in the process. Thanks for pointing that out too. Glad you like it and loved that you stopped by. :-)

Thank you both for stopping by. The greens in the background are from birch and pine trees and the blue/grey is actually from the lake down the hill.

I like the painting effect a great lot, Kim. Besides, the impression I have is as if the bright leaves are whipped by the rain. Loved it.

Yes as Leanne says the diagonal composition works well and I like the more muted background colours. the edging suits it!

I'm so happy that you all came and left such insightful comments. As usual it is interesting how others "see" an image. Thanks!
