v 0 Posted October 23, 2005 wonderful. I Like the way you framed the photo, and how the leaves are in between... it looks like three columns with life all around them. beautiful. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted October 24, 2005 I'm noticing a trend in my images...a combination of order and chaos. Do you have an opinion on this one? Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted October 24, 2005 Chaos in the leaves, but order in the trees. Interesting composition. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Thanks Claude...my eye's intent. Sarita...I'm seeing this in a lot of my photos, and also notice that I like this in other's as well... Too ordered=static. Too chaotic=confusing. The combo works best IMO. ViP...thank you for visiting lately and leaving comments. I appreciate it! Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Funny how we are growing in a centering direction...I learn from you each day...and at times you learn from me as well...this example, is very you, yet...different from your past work in very interesting ways...I for one like the direction, and think you should explore it more... colin carron 58,916 Posted October 24, 2005 Nice semi-abstract with great colours. I find my eye searching for detail and pattern in the chaos. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted October 24, 2005 It's great that the center tree is not at dead center in the image. And, you're right that this is a wonderful mixture of order and chaos. Very nice! Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Roger....we can learn from each other, as long as we don't become generic! LOL Thanks, Colin....I find that as well... Lou Ann...an observation only now I see. Funny how it takes someone else to point things out. That's why comments are so valuble! Link to comment
camilo.margeli 1 Posted October 25, 2005 I think that this is a very original shoot. I like the idea. Kind regards. Link to comment
teru 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Just one more comment on the Chaos/Order dichotomy: I like the contrast between the random (almost reckless) coloring of the leaves and the simple B&W of the trees. Link to comment
daily_photograph 0 Posted October 27, 2005 The centering effect is great! Not sure if the frame is relativizing it. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 29, 2005 A very pleasing Autumn shot, Linda. I wonder if it might be improved with a solid black frame, though? The textured gray frame competes somewhat, I think. Link to comment
susan stone 0 Posted October 31, 2005 An interesting trident of trees with their lovely fall foliage. I like your use of the tree trunks to form a natural frame for the composition, but I too am distracted by the grey frame (although I think it's a lovely frame), I know you put a lot of thought into your framing and it's often an intregal part of your image. I haven't gotten tired of all the "fall foliage" shots yet but here in Montana the leaves are rapidly falling. Link to comment
bbrooks 0 Posted November 2, 2005 I like the way the trees on each side keeps your eyes in the image. I find particularly enjoyable the contrast between the monochromatic trunks and the splash of color from the leaves. Very nice. Brian Link to comment
