mswenty 0 Posted October 22, 2005 I would crop out or clone out the roof at lower left. It detracts from the photo. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 22, 2005 I really like this composition. It seems a little overexposed. I like the red roof in the corner but would like to see a bit more of it. I might crop a bit from the top and rhs to balance. Link to comment
jimg 0 Posted October 22, 2005 This has a great feel to it. I agree in cropping out the red roof. I really like seeing lighthouse photos where the lens is lit and the lighthouse has a clear coastal backdrop. To me it pulls together it's purpose for the viewer in a clear and concise way. Nicely done. You might want to tinker with a curves adjustment. It might make your image less grey and better define black and white values. It will also allow you to fine tune the contrast. Wonderful shot thanks for posting it. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 22, 2005 Very well composed Michael, I like the gradual tone of colors strong and accentuated in the fg. and lighter in hue in the bg. and the light sky, gives the image a very good DOF.enjoyed it. Pnina Link to comment
karl.jahr 0 Posted March 22, 2007 This picture lends itself to the square format you have chosen. I didn't even notice the red roof at the bottom and it definitely doesn't bother me. Link to comment
