ben neptun 0 Posted October 21, 2005 I just looked at your portfolio. You've got some great stuff. However, this is not one of your better photos. I don't like it because it's one big pile of eye distraction. The only part of this shot that's not distracting is the bird in the top corner... and then it's facing out of the frame and away from the camera. These are my words. 3/5 Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted October 22, 2005 Thanks for your honest appraisal of this image. You are correct; it is a little busy. Reality, this is how Red Wing Black Birds live and I have many more images which I have not posted which display them in their naturl habitat. I agree about the business; however, I ask you: does everything need to look strait into the camera or does an image on the right need to look left? The upper outer quadrantof this image, if cropped as such, might make you happier. Trying to find some semblance of originality on this site, trying to avoid the norm: "oh, its another boring bird photo", is part of my goal and that is hard to do for anyone. Link to comment
