This picture is a composition of a selfportrait and a shot I took in

the wood last week of a very peculiar mushroom.

I was very curious to hear your opinion, dear Pnina. And I'm happy with your words of appreciation. You've also problems with one of the breasts in this shot. The second breast. Nova has problems with the right breast. I'll like to retore it, but I't a bit confusing. I don't know if both of you pointed to the same breast. I actually think it's 'MY' right breast (when I look down) and the distraction is the flesh-coloured part just next to the nipple. Verrry interesting. You and my wife could get together and discuss how one looks this, um, curvaceous at a Certain Age. (You both do it well.) I do wonder if you've been smoking too many of these mushrooms. Very clever and well done.

Het ziet er zo op het eerste gezicht misschien niet al te aantrekkelijk uit, maar ik heb echt zoals je al opmerkt mijn uiterste best gedaan om de prachtige vormen van deze paddestoel en die van mij (lol) zo mooi mogelijk in elkaar te laten overvloeien. Als de tijd er rijp voor is dan laat ik de foto van die knoepert nog wel een keer zien. Je zult versteld staan:~)

About the law ratings; of course (like everybody else) I prefer high to law ones. But I'm actually much more interested in people's opinions.

 

When I posted this picture into the nude-category I knew beforehand that people could interpret my work as an attack on nude-photography in general. I can assure everybody it isn't! The only idea behind this composition is to take up the autumn. When I saw the mushrooms in the forest which grows between the wet and half decomposed leaves it reminds me to the circle of live and the transitoriness of beauty. In this picture I have tried to give utterance to my personal view on that circle; the mushroom (fungus) is able to grow on fertile ground, in this case a dead human body.

 

I had hoped for at least a small discussion about my statement bus alas, I'm afraid the majority of the nude-pic-lovers aren't interested in a talk about this subject and they brushes it aside with only a very bad rating. I really regret that. I wish they had leaved a comment to explain their thoughts about the subject. Afterwards I suppose that they probably have misunderstood my message or even don't notice it. I think that a lot of visitors of the 'nude-category' are only interested in uncomplicated purely nude shots and not in the kind of work I've made. Perhaps I should put it to the test to ask critique for this picture in the art-category. I'm sure the outcome would be completely different from this one. Sorry for my poor English Alex, I hope you'll understand what I've tried to explain.

Lovely photo and magnificient concept. Great creative depth. My one complaint: The photo - by itself - speaks eloquently to the concept you are portraying; the text is unecessary. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
