cmars 0 Posted October 20, 2005 the ones i like the most of yours are probably b/w portraits. also some of the macros/reflections. A lot of them dont have names, but I like "My baby girl". i think its ok that its not totally sharp/focused, the mood is great, the title is ambigous: makes me wonder if your talking about your wife or your daughter. I think a few of the comments on the seascapes were good. I also prefer the ones without the little girl to the one with the girl. (saturation, etc) Do you like the EOS 300D? I need to upgrade soon from this 3mpx point and shoot. All the functions and price of that one look like what I want out my first serious camera. Thanks for your critique on the repost of my last photo. - chuck Link to comment
adam paine 0 Posted February 2, 2006 I really like this image! It is so simple(good)and very effective in capturing one's attention fro further inspection. Thanks for you your comments. Adam Paine Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Was trying to get my nerve up to take pictures of "strangers" when I noticed this guy strolling through town on the other side of the street. If I had my chance to do it again I'd raise my ISO (he wasn't moving particularly "fast", but I had to really extend my zoom and the light was low and I'd try to include his feet). Anything else here to change, learn etc...? Thanks to any and all that stop by and or rate/comment Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted November 1, 2006 Jeff I came here to check out your recent people shots and ran across this image also. Wow, what a great shot. A wonderfully simple and powerful composition. The cane and the background make this shot. Great image. Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted November 1, 2006 Wow! My very own Kent B praise-session :-) Seriously, I'm blushing like a school girl with your comments. Thanks for stopping by. I was serious when I said that yours and John Crosley (and probably others) have pushed me closer to the street direction, and I can only hope one day to reach your level. This is easily one of my favorites...while simultaneously being one of my biggest dissapointments. There was so much potential here, but I rushed it and lost his feet... plus its a tad blurry for printing. Serious bummer when I checked it out for an expo I did with a Portugal theme. Oh well... the long and the short is that you live & learn I guess (and don't count your chickes or judge your books or get rid of your birds in your hands etc... :-) Thanks again! Link to comment
