Let me offer up this guess: "He offers a service to tourists who are too lazy to take their own photographs. The tourists lay around the spa drinking expensive wine while he hits the popular spots and takes pictures for them that they can show off to their friends back home."

Shawn, I don't know if your guess is right but that would certainly be a career to consider...:D

This is a very nice capture, I find vary atractive the imagen, It had capture many coments. It is a candid history.

 

My guess is that he is in vacation with his friends, probably in a charter tour, all off them with a camara and it was his turn to take a group picture. Any way the Shawn and Jim version's of the history gave us more smiles.

This is a great capture and like every one else I would love to know what is going on. My guess is that he wanted to give prints of his holiday to all his friends, but hasn't heard of reprints.

 

This could be a new forum subject, sort of "what happened next?". Well, you know what I mean.

I think he's just come from a buy one get one free sale. He was so happy he bought two! Obviously he's trying to figure out how to use em all at once.

Shawn, Jim, Jose, Peter and Nova thanks a lot for all the theories, I really had a good laugh with them :DD I really haven't noticed how odd this photo looks when viewed out of the context. Probably the truth is that he is a former sumo wrestler who just bought himself a couple of cameras in a buy one get one free sale and now spends his time with the friends traveling in charter flights, offering a service that consists of hitting the popular spots for his friends and lazy tourists while they lay around the spa drinking expensive wine. To be sure he has enough prints of his holidays for all his friends he developed the ability of taking simultaneous shots with several cameras because no one told him yet anything about reprints :)

Have you some more in this serie ? 3 or more would be great to put next to each other. By watching 2 of them in your portfolio I had the feeling this guy was doing some kind of kata or obscure dance in the street ;) You really did well at capturing him.

i like the way you approach to street photography, this image renders beautifully the concept... you seem to hang around and wait for some clashing and - sometimes - humourous action to take place... a thing that i would like learn to do more.
