deenamaxblue 0 Posted October 18, 2005 Reminds me of the work of Dorthea Lange who photographed life in America during the Depression. Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted October 18, 2005 I like the composure of the image, and I am assuming that the manipulation was supposed to replicate an older-type photograph, and that's were I have issues. The manipulation did not succeed and the resolution of the image as posted is poor. The bright spot above the chair is very, very distracting. The lighting coming in from the side could have used some fill flash. If you want this type of image, an alternate way to do it is to take a filter and smudge it with some oil, grease or vaseline, then use it to take the image by screwing it onto the lens. john falkenstine 1 Posted October 18, 2005 BTW: Dorothea Lange was a skilled and dedicated photographer (who) used a HUGE Slr Camera: The result: Large negatives. See this link..http://www.americaslibrary.gov/aa/lange/aa_lange_subj_e.html AND the library of congress has a large number of her images that you can look at for FREE. Link to comment
