jmoody 0 Posted October 27, 2005 I only saw a tree like this once while I was in Hawaii and wouldn't you know it, it was towards sunset, I didn't have my tripod with me, and I was probably into my 3rd "Mai Tai". So... forgive me in the sharpness category. Beyond that, is the composition pleasing? The colors? Thanks for any thoughts, comments, and or ratings Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted November 4, 2005 With all due respect, I think you should go back and take the photograph again. I'm sure your wife will agree. Hawaii is nice this time of the year. Link to comment
amysn 0 Posted December 31, 2005 Jeff - Nice shot - love the colors and composition and am not bothered by any Mai Tai effect. I am now (again) living in Hawaii and find myself bored with the sights, wondering what to shoot (had gotten into street photography in Europe). Perhaps I'll go in search of this tree. :-) Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted December 31, 2005 Lahaina if I remember correctly at the Old Lahaina or Old Maui or Old something-or-other Luau. Good show and food too if you go (Dana Carvey was there the night we went, so can't be "all" bad). Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted April 27, 2006 I don't know where to start. Comments on portfolios sometimes go unnoticed, so I decided to comment here....so I guess this IS a start. The rhythm and texture here makes me feel like dancing! Back and forth...turn around.... This macro folder is really exceptional, but so is your whole portfolio....the B&W, abstractions...I enjoyed looking through them all. Inspirational in fact. Thanks for getting me here. jmoody 0 Posted April 27, 2006 thanks for the compliment. If I haven't said it before, it is a definite honor after having seen so many wonderful posts with your name on them. This type of tree was just begging to be shot (hmmm. odd sentence). Any thoughts on it as a horizontal? Anyway, thanks againp.s., not sure why, but I've got you totally stuck in my mind as a Jamie Lee Curtis look-alike (and yes, I get off-topic quite easily) Link to comment
