I see what you are trying to acheive there, Mark, and I'll try to take that little more time when composing shots in future.

 

Perhaps the gentleman will allow me to shoot him again and I can try and find a suitably dark background to begin with.

Excellent portrait with a nice finish Anndra. Good work, it doesn't need to be re-taken like you mentioned, but just needs the background highlights cloned out with PS or similar program, as they do distract a little.

It's amazing how you made him look like he's made out of plastic.

What an interesting man. I love the blues in the background they accent his eyes. Very Good, Bravo.

The specks of light remind me of the sparks that the aborigine shaman sent up to the space orbiter in the movie, "The Right Stuff." A very otherworldly effect.
