Thessaloniki by night

This photo is taken from the terrace of the restaurant where the

dinner of a workshop (on irregular and complex structures in seismic

zones) was, late August 2005, in Thessaloniki. The terrace was mainly

out of concrete, as it can be seen in the foregroung, but it offered

the possibility for the many participants to enjoy having dinner on

the seaside.

The lights of Thessaloniki belong to a promenade, after which, to the

east (left on the photo) the White tower follows.
