Nice view. Since the sky is empty, I would lower the angle of the camera to the top of the slope. The polarizer effects are a bit strong that the snow seems to be in a partial shade on a sunny day. Just some thoughts.

Why you, who rate 2/2, can't you show your "faces" or give an explanation to a low mark ? This is something that pisses me off every time I invite critique. I can't even find out what was wrong with my picture; Can't you leave a comment or a name so I could address you with the question. What the hell are going on ?

This makes me really upset that I feel demotivated to remain on PN. Please show your faces ...............

Suman has a good point. Trying to understand the ratings game may drive a person mad; disregard it and you may enjoy this pnet thing a little more. There are flaws in the system but as long as the majority favors it, then it's unlikely that the system will be changed.

I heartly agree with your view, but there should be some sort of respect about their own view. If they put 1/1 or 2/2, I will welcome that if they leave a judgment behind that rating. Its not necessary that every time you need to leave a comment, but atleast for 7/7 and 1/1 or 2/2 - I feel it deserves that. Thank you all. Rgds.

Beautiful image,Kaushik. Please do not get upset about low ratings. There are few mentally-sick persons, who does this thing to everyone. Try to evaluate the comments and ratings of those who really matters in pn.Beautiful caption.

In the CR there is no respect, so don't worry about the 2/2 you got more better rates.

This is a nice photo, you got a blue sky against the white mountain, I would like to be there and soon it will be cold here too.

Very beautiful Kaushik.

Beautiful :) , I like what visual effect you have got through the 'desired' exposure setting ; but there is a whitish oblique streak in the middle Kaushik .

Thank you very very much for your comments.

Tuhinda, again a special thanks to you for your valued critique and commenting on lots of my photos. I am a new comer in this network and will be benifited by your critiques.

I have the same camera and I am realizing that I totally underestimate the potential of this device when I see images like this. I have also been in the Karakoram and Himalayas but long before the advent of digital imagery. I wondered if this were polarized as well? I know it is entirely possible to have been a super saturated sky due to the extremes of altitude, but I am summarily and duly impressed with your results with this camera. Excellent composition, colors and forms. Really can't go wrong with this subject matter as far as I'm concerned! If I were rating it I'd go 6/6, but ignore the idiotic ratings and stick to the critique and commentary. This is where you'll find the concerned citizens anyway...

Kaushik, I'm in awe of this kind of mountain scenery. However, right now it only brings two names to mind. Sue Fear and Lincoln Hall.

May one of them rest in peace, whilst the other should embrace another chance at life.

I very much enjoyed viewing your "A Journey to Mountain" folder.
